Grant Permissions
QueryDial performs all work locally and does not track or collect any user information. But because it relies on analyzing search engines’ search URLs to find out user’s query and the shortcuts in the query, it needs to have permission to access website of search engines that supports shortcut redirection. You can still use QueryDial’s popup to search without granting any permission. However, you won’t be able to use shortcut commands when you search with a shortcut-enabled search engine if QueryDial don’t have permission to access that search engine’s website.
For example, if you wish to use search engine shortcuts in Google, you need to enable shortcut for Google in App’s in-app settings; you also need to give QueryDial access to www.google.com or other regional google domains such as www.google.co.uk or www.google.ca
For iOS and iPadOS
Open Settings App, Go to Safari > Extensions > QueryDial to enable and manage website permissions for QueryDial’s Safari Extension. You need to enable it in order to use QueryDial in Safari. To use QueryDial’s shortcut-redirection abilities in search engines, address bar, or Spotlight web search, you need to give QueryDial access to the shortcut enabled websites.
For Mac
Open Safari, from the top menu bar, select Safari > Settings… to open safari settings. Then inside Safari settings, go to “Extensions” page, you will see QueryDial’s Safari extension appeared in the sidebar. Select it to configure its website permissions. Make sure to toggle it in the sidebar to enable it in Safari.
